THE OCEAN TO ATLANTIC CANADA
VIA RAIL - MONTREAL TO HALIFAX

The ideal transportation choice for accessing the Atlantic region of Canada, 'The Ocean' tours between Montreal and Halifax six times each week.  The Ocean train mainly operates during the night, allowing guests to travel hundreds of kilometres in their sleep.  Nonetheless, passengers have the opportunity to see picturesque villages along the St. Lawrence River, admire the Appalachian mountains, and appreciate commanding views along the Gaspé Peninsula.  In areas such as the Matapédia Valley and Chaleur Bay, guests will have expansive views of forests, beaches, cliffs, and meadows.  Passengers will pass through the province of New Brunswick, arriving in Moncton by noon, when travelling eastbound.  To conclude, The Ocean arrives in the charming, cosmopolitan city of Halifax by mid-afternoon.

Easterly class (Renaissance Equipment*) during peak season includes all meals, exclusive access to the lounges and panoramic section of the Park Car and Maritime learning experience complete with presentations.
